5 Steps on How To Write an Effective Write-up

One of the greatest challenges for students these days is writing. It is a waterloo for many since less and less students are engaged to reading which is essentially needed to be able to write a good-read article.

Up until today, I never have forgotten the technique taught by our adviser in our school publication back in high school. It was just a simple and very common word - POWER. I never thought that this word contained the steps to improve my writings when I was still in the process of learning.

P is for PLAN. The very basic for everything. An effective write-up is made from a well-planned flow of ideas that is why this step is very essential for beginners. Don't just immediately write what you want to stay or it will end up that your write-up would be going around the bush revolving around one and the same thought per paragraph. In this step, all you need to do is list all your ideas that should be relevant to your main idea. It could either be a word or a phrase. Take this for example.

Tips on How Students can Survive the Academe

It’s high time to face another deadly year ahead for others especially to students. And hell yeah I miss being a student and getting all fuss up when classes are nearing. Every year, for students, has a random intensity on how rough and bumpy the school life will be. Some face really rough roads where it’s hard for them to move on, and luckily, some travel an already iron-smooth path.

Based on my experience as a “former student” (with emphasis on the former), I guess I should share some secrets on how to enjoy the year while getting good grades. But this doesn’t mean that if it works for me it will also work for you. I just don’t want to give false hopes though.

Not Yet Employed?

To all those who just recently graduated, kudos! However, welcome to the unemployed group (I think most of them will be obligated to join this group for a couple of months). I know that what comes into your mind after graduation is to have non-stop vacation escapades with your friends and batchmates to relieve you of your stressful college years. I think it may be a good idea but not all the time. Perhaps there maybe times that you are just waiting for the scheduled trips right? So while waiting,  how about procure some of the requirements needed for employment. It'll make your day productive and lessens your burden of being pressured to get all those requirements in less than a week.

So I'll be giving you the list and the how-to's about these stuffs but this is only limited here in Cebu.

1. NSO BIRTH CERTIFICATE - this is one major requirement. Before graduating, I think your school/university/college ask you to settle this before you take your gracious walk and take into your hands your diploma. You can get this online - https://nsohelpline.com/. Or if you wanna tire yourself waiting in line, you can get one at the NSO office. There will be probably 3-days for the processing and would cost you around Php 140.00 (this is the price for the manual processing).

This will be a requirement for getting your NBI Clearance, SS Number, and postal ID. So prioritize this since you will no longer have your school ID unless you have a driver's license.
